Basic Search Help

To search the catalog:

1. To see a list of possible searches, click the Search Type box.
2. Select the type you want.
3. In the Word or Phrase box, type a search term or a collection of words.

Hints:

• For an Author search, type the author's last name (followed by first name if you know it).
• To find your search term anywhere in the catalog, select General Keyword as your Search Type.
• If you do a Keyword search on a phrase such as paid time off, the Catalog searches for paid and time and off and finds only documents that contain ALL three terms.
